London’s Desert Sound Colony has shared the title track of forthcoming Signals EP. The EP follows on from Cracks which was released via Scissor & Thread. “Signals” is an example of the band’s ability to weave layer upon layer of heavy beats to somehow create an intricate and delicate sound – musical sorcery.
The band say their latest EP is shaped by their musical journey: “U.S. and European tours with Bob Moses as well as collaborative work with Francis Harris has inspired and informed the direction our sound has taken. Signals and Moon Juice were written in several unique spaces including a bedroom, a church, and our studio. The resultant tracks are an amalgamation of it all.”
Desert Sound Colony has always been able to absorb the world around them and turn into something completely new. The band is currently in the studio working on their debut album.
Signals is released on 13 May.
