The restless Africaine 808 (D. Leyers and Nomad) return with new track “Everybody Wants To”. The duo’s music is always euphoric, with a sense of spontaneity that is so rare in dance music. You get the feeling that these sounds can’t be contained – that they want to leap from your speakers. They pull from a myriad number of influences to create music that is truly global, that can’t be pinned down to one specific place or time.
This track also boats one of the year’s strongest origin stories. On a fishing trip D. Leyers and Nomad came across a blind man who was jamming on a small electronic recording. He agreed to be recorded on the spot in exchange for a bottle of bourbon. The chap’s name was Blind D.D. and the track is the result of that kerbside recording session.
“Everybody Wants To” is released via Golf Channel Recordings on 29 April 2016
