Clarence Clarity doesn’t do understated. Fresh from dropping his debut in 2015, Clarity has returned with the ferocious “Splitting Hairs”. Collaborating with St. Louis based rapper Pizza, “Splitting Hairs” is a twisted take on pop. It’s a sucker punch of a song, both exhilarating and intimidating.
Clarity, in his typical understated fashion, tackles the abandonment of the human race by God. It’s not your usual pop source material but it’s all the better for it. Clarity is still finding way to make the grim sound infinitely and unexpectedly brilliant and “Splitting Hairs” is proof that nihilists may not have the best time but they do make the best music.
“Splitting Hairs” is released via Deluxe Pain.
