British producer Lapalux has confirmed the release of his third album and shared other-worldly new track "Rotted Arp" which features Louisahhh on vocals. The album, titled Ruinism, was recorded using 100% hardware and real instruments for the first time in his career - recording synths and drum hits and then twisting and re-sampling until they were, in his own words, "ruined".
Lapalux had this to say about the "Rotted Arp": “It sums up the whole idea of this record… having Louisahhh’s vocals made me think of this track as a much more meaningful piece and helped me push it further and further into a developed abstract dance track”.
Ruinism will be released on 30 June via Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint. In May, Lapalux will play a trio of album showcases. Details below.
