Maggie Rogers returns in perfect form with new single “Fallingwater”, coproduced with Rostam Batmanglij. It’s an ambitious sound, capturing that swirling mix of confidence and insecurity that comes with any major upheaval in a person’s life – free to face the world but unsure about what’s next.
On Twitter, Rogers had this to say: “Fallingwater is about these past two years, this giant transition and ride that I’ve been on. It’s a song that celebrates rapid change and how simultaneously scary and electric it can feel. It’s about giving everything and not knowing if it’s enough. It’s about the power of vulnerability — a cry for help and a battle cry at the same time.”
Rogers will be joining HAIM for two sold-out gigs at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace on 15 and 16 June. “Fallingwater” is out now and is released via Polydor Records.
