Miles From Kinshasa (aka Vivien Kongolo) has shared “Could We Just Talk Instead”, the third track to be released from his forthcoming mini album Limbo. Describing his music as “Rumba-pop”, Vivien’s globe-spanning sound defies easy categorisation. There’s a beautiful forlornness, world weariness, to “Could We Just Talk Instead”, a quiet intimacy that is completely intoxicating.
Discussing the new track, Vivien said it ““…explores the moments when you want to know your significant others thoughts and what they truly care about, more than wanting their intimacy. Do you even vote? Did you hear that he came out? Do we care about the poor?”
Limbo was written and recorded during the last 12 months in a South London council estate bedroom. Deliberately lo-fi, the album was recorded with no budget and is deeply personal response to life as twenty-something. "Could We Just Talk Instead" follows previous singles "IVRY" and "Fireworks"
Limbo will be released on 6 October via Quality Time Recordings.
