To the uninitiated, how would you describe your sound?
I would say my sound is dark pop with a hint of rock
Your new track “Nothing Can Stop Us Now”, what’s it about?
It’s about the young generation who want to live their lives to the fullest and try to achieve their dreams no matter what others say.
You’ve got some impressive pipes – when did you realize you could sing all the notes and have you always wanted to be a performer?
Thank you! I kind of always knew I had a wide range of notes inside of me but I didn't know how to really use them until I came to London and was lucky enough to meet and start working with my vocal coach Sonia Jones who really made some miracles happen!
Which artists were you listening to growing up and have they shaped your current sound?
Growing up in Kiev I listened to artists like Etta James and Frank Sinatra. Great voices. Also I was a big fan of Queen and Michael Jackson who were such amazing performers! I'm sure they all had a big influence on me as an artist.
People from London love asking people who move to the city “What makes London such a special place”. You were born in the Ukraine but now live in London, what makes the city such a special place for musicians?
London is a beautiful city and it's hard not to love it! For musicians there are so many possibilities here, so many people to collaborate with and so many ways to develop as an artist. London allows you to discover and be who you want to be.
What’s the last record you loved?
The last record I loved probably would be Barns Courtney “Kicks"
What’s next for you?
