George Maple – Lover (Thomaas Banks remix)
George Maple has dropped this heady Thomaas Banks remix of “Lover”. Banks, who makes up 50% of prolific UK house duo Psychemagik, transforms the track into a throbbing late-night epic. George Maple had this to say: “Thank you Thomaas Banks for creating this absolute jam. If anyone needs me, I will be sipping my dirty martini watching 80s films in my silk kimono and dancing around my living room.”
Fickle Friends – Brooklyn (Everything Everything Remix)
Fickle Friends have followed up the “Brooklyn” video with this joyous remix from Everything Everything. Resplendent with piano stabs, synths and a pitched down vocal, the track is transformed into shimmering breakdown. Fickle Friends recently played Heaven in London, their biggest ever headline gig.
Logan Takahashi – Cella (Sporting Life Remix)
2016 has been a big year for Logan Takahashi, producer and one-half of Teengirl Fantasy. Having released his debut solo album NoGeo, he’s now called in Sporting Life and Kaazi to rework two of the record’s standout tracks. On their imaginative edit of “Cella”, Sporting Life inject the track with a playful bounce.
Shifta ft. Che'nelle x Red Cafe – Do You Wanna' (Remix)
Already pretty brilliant, Shifta’s smash “Do You Wanna” gets the remix treatment and an international push with a pumped up guest appearance from the always brilliant Red Café added into the mix with Che'nelle’s smooth vocals. “Do You Wanna” is released via Timeless Entertainment.
Henri – Fine Day Feat. Anita Briem (Andpplebottom Late Night Remix)
Henri, who just released her Fine Day / I See Ice Cream EP, has shared the Applebottom remix of her cover of Opus III’s early 90s classic “Fine Day”. Henri's version features spellbinding Icelandic actress and singer Aníta Briem's on vocals.
Matthew Koma – Kisses Back (Tom Swoon & Indigo Remix)
Poland’s Tom Swoon & Indigo take Mathew Koma’s recent break-up anthem to the club in this energetic rework. Koma recently collaborated with The Knocks on “I Wish (My Taylor Swift)”, the track appeared on their 2016 album 55. “Kisses Back” is released via RCA Records.
ODWALLA88 – PURR HI/GIGGLE (LIL UGLY MANE REMIX)
LA’s ODWALLA88, comprised of Chloe Maratta and Flannery Silva, have shared the Lil Ugly Mane remix of new track “GIGGLE”, the b-side to new cut “PURR HI”. Speaking to The Fader, Juiceboxxx (founder of the band’s label Thunder Zone) said: "The fact that Ugly Mane did a remix pushes it into that Grand Royal Beastie Boys remixing Bikini Kill kind of cultural jam zone."
