Miami’s finest, Trina, has blessed us with her take on the DJ Khaled/ Drake track “For Free”. The freestyle is accompanied by a video of Trina and her girls partying it up out at sea. Trina can do whatever she likes at this point, she’s earned it.
Metronomy – Night Owl (Boston Bun Remix)
“Night Owl” has been guided to the dancefloor by the always brilliant Boston Bun. Taken from Metronomy’s new Summer '08 LP, it’s one of the more the personal tracks on the record.
M.I.A. – Bird Song (Diplo Remix)
After a label tussle, Diplo’s pounding edit of M.I.A.’s majestic “Bird Song” has landed. Centred around the bird-like loop, “Bird Song” is lifted from her forthcoming A.I.M LP. The album includes guest appearances from Zayn Malik and Dexta Daps and drops on 9 September.
Hoodboi – Closer (ft. ASTR) (Hoodboi Moonrise Mix)
Hoodboi, Athletixx co-founder and Fool's Gold signee, has given his latest single “Closer” a rework. Featuring ASTR, he’s added some serious drum and bass beats and considerably upped the tempo. “Closer” is released by Fool's Gold.
Kauf – A Ruin (Man Power Remix)
This 9 minute epic comes to you via Kauf and producer Man Power. “A Ruin”, the second release from Kauf’s forthcoming LP Regrowth, has been pushed firmly into dancefloor territory. Kauf’s music has an expansive scope that lends itself well to this emotionally charged floorfilling remix. Even at 9 minutes we still want to hear more.
Rag’n’Bone Man –Human (MJ Cole Remix)
MJ Cole has worked wonders on Rag’n’Bone Man’s blindingly good track “Human”. Maintaining that phenomenal voice, the remix juxtaposes a heavy beat with Rag’n’Bone Man’s incredibly expressive and rich vocal tones. “Human” is released via Best Laid Plans.
Dusky – Sort It Out Sharon (Dread D Remix)
Dusky has shared cult grime legend Dread D’s remix of new single “Sort It Out Sharon” ft. Wiley. Best known for his work on Jon E Cash’s Black Ops label, Dread D has returned to limelight with a string of strong releases for Local Action. On his remix, he gives Wiley’s freestyle a bashy a distinctly London grime flour.
Wangel – Seoul (Mouthe Remix)
Producer Mouthe has resurfaced with remix of Wangel's 2015 jam “Seoul". Mouthe released his debut single ”Trouble”/”Hallelujah” earlier this year, and in July he released ”Foyer”as a double single with ”Knives”. Wangel is a project that is led by singer/songwriter Peter Wangel in collaboration with producer Kasper Ejlerskov Leonhardt. “Seoul” is released via Playground Music.
