Fresh from a providing the vocals on the recent SG Lewis track “Time We Had”, Nigerian-born Toulouse returns with the Terrible Records released “Reach Out”. Written, produced and sung by Toulouse, it’s a track that draws you in with discordant rhythms and ever-shifting production. An unpredictable but intensely beautiful listen.
Discussing the track, he said: "Reach Out is about inhabiting the sacrificial and most humbling role of loving a prodigal and dysfunctional person unconditionally. It takes more courage to love an imperfect being that to hate an imperfect being”.
Toulouse, who earned a place at the Clive Davis Institution at NYU by singing down the phone to the acceptance committee, has gone on to rack up millions of streams, a feature on the 50 Shades Darker soundtrack and open for Banks on a 11-city tour.
“Reach Out” will appear on Toulouse’s forthcoming EP which will be released via Terrible Records later this summer.
