UK Theatre Award winner Gary Owen has returned to the Royal Court with Killology, directed by Rachel O’Riordan and in a co-production with the Sherman Theatre. A visceral and profound piece of writing, Killology is an emotional sucker-punch. It provokes profound questions and doesn't just explore the dynamics of the father-son relationship but rips it apart.
Killology is the story of a controversial new gaming experience where players are rewarded for torturing victims, scoring points for "creativity". Far from a being designed for the depraved, Killology is marketed by its creator as a deeply moral experience - one where you can live out your darkest fantasies but cannot escape the consequences. However, not everyone in the real world agrees.
Killology by Gary Owen runs at the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs until 24 June 2017. £12 Monday tickets are released online at 9am each Monday. Find out more at royalcourttheatre.com
